Waiting patiently for this adorable stamp set was NOT easy!! LoL.

I have adored 'Postcard Pals' since I laid eyes on it!

Now, I'm the proud owner of it! 

Love the images, the sayings....the overall feel of it....this one will be a definite keeper!

I know you will have fun coming up with many uses for this set.

This is my first card design with it....will definitely be making more when I have time.

I used the wonderful Stampin' Blends to color the critter in....easy peasy!

What a simple cute set!!

'Vertical Greetings', it is, and I love how the sentiments are vertical!

Sometimes thats exactly what you need for a card's design and this gives you some great sentiments to use for almost any occasion.

I pulled together some colors I wanted to use, and then didn't have any DSP that had the colors in it I needed, so I had to get creative!! Sometimes this forces me to try something new....and gives me something fun to share with you, if it works! :-)

So, I created my own "DSP" by pulling out my Stampin' Blend markers and just coloring wavy stripes in varying colors across the Whisper White card stock and then stamping an image over that in the black. Do you like? It was fun, bright and cheery, I thought. 

Imagine all the fun color combos you can do this in!! 

I can't wait to experiment with more!

Life Happens!

Absolutely.....Life Happens! Doesn't it?!

We can only take each day at a time......and drink lots of coffee!! Right? 

In all our business of the days and weeks it's important to carve out a few moments for ourselves and just re-set and re-group so we can face life and our families with a smile! 

Life is certainly what we make it, and how we respond to to it....so lets face it with God's grace and make it a great day, no matter the trials it brings us. :-)

You know I love coffee, and I'm using this wonderful set again called 'Coffee Cafe'....but with a lot of color! I also used a few stamps from 'Bubble Over' for something different. 

The background was created by dropping drops of different color re-inkers on an acetate sheet, spritzing with alcohol and then dragging the paper through the ink....(it dries quickly with the alcohol) and then spritzing lightly with water which repels the ink and creates a 'bleached' look. :-) It's a really fun technique and each background piece will be unique.

Also, you know those clear rhinestones you have? Well, with the new Stampin' Blends alcohol markers you can permanently color them with whatever color you want to own!!
Fun, huh?!

I'm thrilled that the stamp set 'Climbing Orchid' was carried over to the new catalog because I hadn't had a chance to use it yet. :-) So, I hope this card inspires you to use it and have fun with any color combo you like! I went for a softer palette for this card, so I hope you enjoy it!

The background Designer Series paper is from the 'Wood Textures 6x6' pack. Best little pack of DSP ever!! I use it on so many cards! Every color of wood is in there! A must have!

IT'S HERE!! 2018-2019 Catalog!!

This is the most anticipated day of the year for Stampin'Up lovers!!

The new catalog is FULL of exciting new products and (YIKES) ....changes!!

The most impactful changes are the core color changes and a new design for the stamp pads!! You'll be excited to see some of your favorite colors coming back AND some of your favorite In-Colors are becoming a core color! Woo Hoo!! 

I'm thrilled.....over the moon... with Mossy Meadow coming back!! :-)

You'll LOVE the new stamp pads....maybe find it easier to open them.....AND they are now stackable!!!! (The only down side to this change is I'm VERY Type A and can't handle my stamp pads shaped differently, which means.....replacing all my stamp pads!! Ugh.)
