Lovely!

Oh, to play with new stamp sets!! :-)

This is a new set from the Holiday Catalog called "First Frost"....and YES, it comes with a die cutting set too! Now, ask me if I used it for a Christmas card?! Nope! Not yet. My mind went for a soft floral look and using the wonderful little flower as a background, tone on tone pattern, for this card!

My challenge, now, will be to see it as a Christmas stamp set! :-)

The wonderful news is how versatile it really is! I know I'm going to enjoy this one for years to come! I hope you enjoy it as much as I know I will! The new punch is delightful too and worked well for the leaves for this grouping. Remember that polka dot tulle ribbon? Here was another perfect opportunity to use it! :-)

Trouble, trouble should be the name of this new catalog!!

Coastal Mermaid!

With teen girls in the house, you just know that mermaid themed items are definitely in the 'need to have!' :-) So, naturally, I made it a point to purchase the "Magical Mermaid" stamp set!

Here's another set where you can have so much fun with color and design!

I chose softer blues for this design with a pop of purples!

I also thought this could be a cute 3x3 card for kids and friends gifts, so I made a smaller version to compliment the card....they are so much fun to make and SO useful! :-)

My girls loved it, so I challenged them to challenge me with a different color combo....needless to say, they chose colors that aren't my favorite to work with so I hope to be inspired soon to rise to their challenge! :-)

Halloween Drinks!

I am SO excited by the new background stamp in the Holiday catalog!!

It's called 'Buffalo Check!'

It's amazing and has many, many uses....one of which I played with here for this card!

I am not a huge fan of Halloween....although we enjoy letting the kids dress up and Trick or Treat, and even throw a party here and there :-)...but it's not usually a holiday I worry about buying stamp sets and paper for. So, with that said, I felt like I needed a Halloween card for those that do love the holiday and I felt my DSP packs severely lacking in anything 'Halloweenie'....sooooo it forced me to get creative with what I do have, and this background stamp provided a great base to create my own DSP. :-)

Grab those wonderful Stampin' Blends and use both tips to create different line thicknesses on your plaids. I also grabbed the Stampin'Up journaling pen for the fine black lines.

Think of ALL the color options you can play with!!

Don't forget that these wonderful Stampin' Blends also color your rhinestones and pearls with ease!!
I used the new Black Stampin' Blend on the pearls shown on the card below.

I paired it with another great stamp set, 'Coffee Cafe,' and pulled a few discontinued stamp elements into this card. It's great fun to mix new and old!
