Silent Night gift bag!

I hate to mention it, but Christmas is right around the corner!! I get heart palpitations just thinking about how close it is and all that I need to do prior! :-) Am I the only one who is just....not....ready??

Well, if it wasn't for my Card Club, I'm not sure I would have come up with anything 'crafty' yet for the Holidays! I'm blessed by my group of ladies that call me to be crafty every now and then. :-)

A Gift bag seemed the right way to deliver the first Holiday project! Night of Navy, some silver accents, gorgeous snowy trees and of course......snow and a sleigh.....and you have Christmas!! :-)

This is an easy project when you have the Gift Bag punch! Create 3 sizes with this wonderful little gadget......Small, Medium and Large. This project features the small size. I know you will love all that you can do with it! So......hurry up and get crafty! :-)

Oldies but Goodies!!

I have a real hard time getting rid of a lot of my stamp sets!! I have an equally hard time resisting buying really cute stamp sets.....even if they are retired!! This dragon set is one of those!
I  could  not  resist!! :-)
Hope you enjoy this little guy as much as I did coloring him and figuring out a way to 'present' him!

Halloween Night!

Another great catalog.....and another great Holiday catalog!!!

With Halloween fast approaching, I thought I better whip up a card with some of the new stamps and embossing folders featured in the Holiday catalog!! The wonderful ladies in my Card Club cursed my name over this card. Lol. It was all about cutting and placing the moon! :-)

To achieve the white trees on the black card stock, you just ink up your embossing folder with Kraft white (the raised trees side) and roll through your Big Shot with your black piece of card stock. Easy, but can be a bit messy. ;-) This is now my all-time favorite embossing folder!!!!

Hope you are inspired to enjoy your embossing folders other than the typical way!

Here's the supplies I used!

Great products!! The spider web doilies are fantastic......and they are white on the backside!!! Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Have fun shopping!!

Surf's Up!

My oh my, do I love this turtle!!!
He's SO darn cute and he completely sold me on this new stamp set!
Another win for Stampin' Up! with "From Land to Sea!"

The background I created by cutting out some pointy 'rays' out of paper and using it as a mask while I daubered color onto the background. Then I spritzed a bit of water across it to give dimension to the water and then after it was dry, I stamped the coral in a few different colors.

Mr cute sea turtle was cut out and colored using a blender pen and inks. :-) Super easy!

Hope you have as much fun with your turtle!!

Birthday Wreath!

Wondrous Wreath.....very versatile stamp set! :-)
Spring, Fall, Winter, Christmas....or Birthdays! So many ways to color it and use it.
Throw some colors together, grab a theme.....and see what your creativity comes up with! :-)

I started with the Farmers Market DSP, and tried the Hello Honey and Perfect Plum together. Depending on your colors you choose, you might have difficulty with the way the colors overlap each other with the 2-step stamping on the wreath. The Perfect Plum over the Hello Honey took 2 times stamping to achieve a decent shade. I'm not totally happy with it.... but it works ok. (Can you tell I'm a little type A? lol) Using similar colors may work better for you. :-)

The 'ribbon' is just cardstock folded and distressed with Whisper White along the edges to soften the look. I crumple the paper before folding to make it easier to work with and give it more character. :-)

Hope you enjoy and have fun creating with your Wondrous Wreath stamp set!

Strawberries Galore!

Summer-ripe Strawberries! Are there many things yummier?! :-)

'Market Fresh' is so much fun to design with! Just break out your blender pens, ink pads and water pens and decide how you want to color your images. :-) Be sure to stamp your image in Staz-On when using water based products to color with so the black won't bleed.

Hope this card makes you feel like Summer!

Fab B'day!

The one bad thing about being a card designer is that if you don't have the time to design a card, it's next to impossible to go buy one.....out of just plain guilt. :-)
My husbands B'day snuck up on me and with little time to plan a card, I HAD to make sure that I made one for him!! So, here's my attempt at his card using a new set! :-)
It's definitely masculine and you could use many different color combos to make this design work. :-)
LOVE the new brick wall embossing folder! (The bricks are much bigger than you think)
I made the sailfish shiny by applying Crystal Effects after cutting it out.

Lettuce Celebrate!

New catalog and adorable new stamp sets!!
'Market Fresh' is one of my top picks for ordering and I set out to make something come together for the adorable head of lettuce! Who'd have thought you could make a head of lettuce cute enough to want to make a card with one?! Lol. Stampin'Up! obviously did! :-)

I played with the new DSP from Farmers Market and do love that paper pack!!

Hope this card makes you smile....

B'day Lobster!

My truly amazing husband turned another year older last weekend, and in my plans to surprise him with a family sunset cruise, and shopping for gifts, I almost forgot a card!! Yes, the memory gets a little slower each year. Lol. SO, I had to get busy designing a masculine card!
I gravitated to a 'sea' set....always cheerful and colorful....at least in my mind's eye, anyway. :-)
Hope it inspires you to try some fun techniques with your cards!

You've Got This!

NEW! NEW! NEW!
How exciting!!!
New catalog! New colors! New stamps! New Designer Paper!
Whoo Hoo!! :-)

So.....I dug in and used my newest stamp set AND a new In-Color! Soooo much fun!

'You've Got This' is a gorgeous stamp set and can be done in any color. I decided to be more basic with it and try using the new Tip Top Taupe. LOVE the color....of course it's pretty close to my all time favorite Crumb Cake, so it was pretty much expected that I'd love it! Lol. I think my Club ladies are shocked if I ever deign a card without using Crumb Cake somewhere on it. :-)

I just embossed the flower image with white embossing powder on vellum.
The new Dotted Lace Trim is gorgeous and available in all the new In-Colors.
I used the Honeycomb embossing folder, pearls and silver ribbon to finish it off. :-)
Super easy and classic! Hope you try it out and enjoy making as much as I enjoyed designing it!

Pucker Up!

Never hurts to dig out our retired stamps! :-) I really liked the lemons from the last Sale-A-Bration grouping and think I will use these quite often. Here's another card using a 'make-your-own' plaid print! This one I made using Crumb Cake as the background color and using the edge of the brayer to create the striping effects. :-) Fun! Fun!

I created the lemon's color texture by coloring with three shades of  Stampin' Write yellow markers on an acrylic block, spritzing it with water and stamping the block onto Whisper White card stock. Then the lemons were stamped over the color texture. Super easy and fun!

I used Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Basic Black and Mossy Meadow to create this card.

Under the Sea!

LOVE this adorable stamp set! SO GLAD it's not retiring yet!!

The wonderful ladies in my Card Club had some fun making this card! The background is soooo easy and everyone's turned out beautiful and uniquely different! Just dauber your favorite colors together all over the whisper white card stock. When done, just spritz with some water and watch your colors 'bleach out' before your eyes! Don't forget the Crystal Effects to make your octopus look slimy! :-)

Used the banner punch to create a fun border around the center circle!

Hope this card inspires you to have fun with your colors and ribbon!
