WOW! WOW! WOW!
My eldest daughter turns 13 this weekend!! Crazy!
It feels like it should be 16, though. LOL.
They grow up so fast these days....even when you try to keep them young.
She is so very excited and is having a big party with her friends AND a sleepover!
Yes, call me a glutton for punishment with ten excitable teens in my house for more than three hours. :-)
Seriously, I'm happy to do it and for her to have great memories of these young years. So, it's been a lot of planning and finding creative things to keep the kids occupied and having fun.
My wonderful husband is being an extremely helpful Champ in helping to get everything ready for this gaggle of kids! :-)
My daughter, Rachel, LOVES gem mining, so I was able to get a local miner to come to the house with his mining sieve and bring bags of raw gemstones and fossils for the kids to 'mine' and sift through the dirt for. They are super excited!! If you are interested in this for your own kids, check out his web site www.backbaymining.com. He comes to you....also does school functions, science fairs, etc. Real neat opportunity!! I'll post pictures after this weekend's excitement!
Anyway.....I thought I'd post a picture of Rachel's Birthday card using the In-Colors from Stampin'Up! Hope it gives you some fun ideas for B'day cards of your own....
This is using the Secret Garden stamp set #129144
Silver Glimmer paper #124005
Pistachio Ruffle ribbon #130020
Used the Pansy punch for the flower (#130698) and the Little Leaves Sizzlet (#114511) as well as the Designer Frames embossing folder (#123130) and the Extra-Large Oval punch (#119859) to complete the look. You can use the Typeset Alphabet Bigz dies (#127553) to cut out the Glimmer paper in the numbers you need. :-) They will also cut through tin, cardboard coasters, fabric, cork sheets, etc. Quite handy to use!
Hope you like!
