Sea Life

"By the Shore" is another wonderful stamp set that I love!
Can you tell I'm itching for beach weather and time in the sun?! I am.....desperately!! :-)

This design called for summer colors......Tangerine Tango and Crumb Cake were my go to this time.

Love the shell assortment with this stamp set!!

Big Catch!

In need of a guy card? Well, Father's Day and many male Birthdays are coming up in my family over the next couple of months, so I need to get busier than this one card design! :-)

Yes, I'm still crazy about the "By the Tide" stamp set, so I'm still designing cards using it!

This one is much simpler in design......the background was done by masking everything but a strip of the card front and brayering three different colors in varying shades from light to dark. Then keep your masking on and stamp the fish in your darkest color you used in the brayering.

The easiest way I find to color is to stamp the image, dauber on color, highlight with other colors using a blender pen, and then finally cut it out. :-)

Just Bloom!

I don't know about you all, but our weather here has been freakish lately! We'll have an 80 degree day, then snow 2 days later, then 70's to 80's for a week and then in drops down into the 50's again!

Come on now......I'm ready for a REAL, consistent Spring into Summer!

'Just Bloom' is inspired by my desire for warmth and sunshine on a regular basis! No more 30's-40's at night, thank you. :-)

Had fun making this flower with an oldy but goody method and the wonderful "Blossom" punch. LOVE working with Crumb Cake, in case you haven't picked up on that yet. :-)

Stampin' Up! COLOR REFRESH!!

Wow! Some great colors coming back in the new catalog, and some wonderful colors going out!

I'm excited about many of the them coming back, and like you, sad about others that are leaving. With that said, many colors are already sold out, so order those colors you want to stock up on ASAP before thet are all gone. I would also order coordinating ribbon, markers and ink re-fills!!

Here's the list and I followed it with the actual colors (made on MDS) for better brain processing. :-)

 

 

Park Fun!

Whew! Have had no time to post.....so sorry! It's been crazy at work, so haven't had time to do much else. :-(  Looking forward to warmer temps, beach trips with my family and a slower pace for the Summer!

We took the kids to the park last week when the sun shone and temps rose above 50....they needed to get out and run and play! Managed to get pics of the girls climbing/hanging, but couldn't catch a still shot of Riley! He was all over the place! lol. Maybe next time....

I promised you some more cards made with the "By the Tide' stamp set.....so here's another one! I DO like this set!! So many possibilities! Don't miss your chance to get it! :-)

I made the background by rolling three different colors onto whisper white cardstock, beginning with the lightest color blue. Then stamped the images in black over the top. Super easy! Great effect!

Moved In!!

I know it's been a long time since I've posted, but it's been a huge move and we've finally gotten settled in! It's so wonderful to all be under the same roof! Everyone's finding their rythym....with my daughter's new school, my commute to work, and the blending of families and addition of a new family member....our new dog. :-) It's truly been an awesome experience and we are all looking so forward to a long future together!

My craft room is set up and I'm finally getting to work in it! I'll be posting some cards soon, so stay tuned!

I'd also like to let you all know this is my last issue with Paper Crafters Sampler. :-(

It has been a lot of fun and a great challenge to be a part of this talented group of ladies! They are such a wonderful group, and it is only due to my crazy life right now that I won't be participating in the next semi-annual team. With a new marriage, full time job, three kids and moving to another town, it's just more than I can handle right now. Lol. Maybe, when I get settled and figure out my new 'schedule' with life, I'll have time to devote to doing this again. :) I'm hoping to have my craft room put back together by the end of January! :-) I will have 3 kids rooms to design and decorate, so I WILL have some things to post in the near future.....I hope! :-)

Riley's 7th B'day!

I tell you what.....our kids are growing up too fast for my taste! :(  Time just goes by too quickly!! They'll be headed off to college before I know it....

Riley turned 7 years old yesterday! He's a wonderful little boy, cute as a button, smart, sweet and... soooo loves to antagonize his sister Carson! Lol. He'll do anything for Rachel, right now. Just wait until he gets older! lol.
The kids really do love each other! We'll be entertained for many more years to come with the drama from the girls and the typical brother/sister teasing. I can't wait until Riley towers over his older sisters....we'll see how brave they are then! :)

My Daughter's 12th!

My daughter, Rachel, turned 12 this week!

It's so amazing how quickly they grow up.....and more so, how quickly they want to grow up.

We wish for time to slow down....and they want to speed it up. They don't realize just how quickly it goes by!

She had a great Birthday!!
