Countdown to Christmas.....are you ready?!

Maybe one of these years I will be, but it's definitely not this year! :-)

I haven't started making my Christmas cards yet, but I did need to design one for a Card Club....so I have a Christmas card to share with you! It uses the lovely Holiday catalog set "Peaceful Boughs" and matching die cuts! There's savings with the bundle, so if you love your die cuts like I do, you'll want to purchase them together.

Gather Together!

Thanksgiving is a time we think about family and close friends 

and gathering together to spend precious time together.

It's a time spent making memories and eating LOTS of food we are so blessed with!

Let's not forget about those not as fortunate, and when you can, include

them in your gathering so they can be blessed with the togetherness and bounty

they don't get to experience in their lives.

Also, don't forget the families who are separated by sea, land and the military!

Invite them home with your family members....even those college kids who can't get to their 

homes during the Holidays.

Thanksgiving is a time of sharing.....sharing the love, the togetherness and the food!

One of my first purchase from the new catalog was "Rare Blessings."

Wonderful art work and sentiments together make the best sets to own.

And who can resist orchids?! Right?

....and the "Crackle Paint" background stamp is amazing!! So many uses!

Enjoy the many ways you can use the die cuts from "Detailed Bands"...cut the tabs off, cut the 'labels' in half and attach to straight edges for decorative elements and just have fun building your layers!

I used the new DSP "Woven Threads" for a softer look. It's a beautiful pack of paper!

Crafting Forever!

If you are a crafter, then this sentiment is TOTALLY understood, right?!

When you get in that mode, and your creativity is flowing....it's SOOOO hard to stop and get done the mundane chores of the everyday. Lol. 

This stamp set is adorable and you can use it for a lot of things, other than crafty sentiments.

The pens are beautiful for congratulations on new jobs, graduations, college acceptances, etc.

Just use your imagination and have fun with it!

Country Road!

I love the feeling this stamp set evokes....

Some of my fondest memories are road trips....especially those that run down country roads and pass hometown goodness....country homes and stores....a simpler, quieter feel.

If you've never just gotten in your car with the intent to just ride somewhere new, down some roads you've never turned on, you should do it today!

Seriously though,  the "Rooted in Nature" stamp set should see the same longevity in the catalogs as "Lovely as a Tree".....don't you think? I love all the parts of this stamp set! 

So, I went with greens and browns for this card design. Truly, you could do this same design in any color your little heart desires....but green is my favorite color, so there I went with it. :-)

Loving the matching die set, "Natures Roots" framelits. Notice how a few of the leaves only 'emboss' your card stock! It's fantastic to create your own design with them! 

I used them on the base of my card, so that when you open the card, you see the impressions there too and it adds a little more character to your card. 

Vellum just softens and breaks up the background so you can focus 

on the design as a whole. 

Hope you find yourself itching to take a 

walk in the woods to discover all it has to offer!

Another delightful stamp set leaving us!

"Picked For You" is so fun and versatile....use for your children's teachers or for a sweet friend.

This one will be a keeper in my stamp collection.

It's a 3-way stamp and you can use whatever colors your heart desires!

We planted a couple apple trees in our back yard two years ago....a Granny Smith and Red Delicious!

They both flowered for the first time this Spring....SO exciting!.....but only the Granny Smith is producing fruit. My favorite is the Red Delicious, but my husband and son love the Granny Smith. Needless to say, they both are on cloud nine. :-)

In the samples below I used Cherry Cobbler, Real Red and Poppy Parade.

In the green apple, it's Old Olive, Pear Pizazz and Granny Apple Green.
