Christmas Tidings

Can you believe Christmas is right around the corner?

Again, it has come way too fast and I'm not prepared! Nothing new here. :-)

I hope you all are better prepared, have your Christmas lists written and have most of your shopping already done. I just finished designing my Christmas card....now have many to make. Wish me luck!

The Stampin'Up! Occasions catalog has some beautiful stamp sets and paper for the holidays.

One of my favorite stamp sets is "Good Tidings." I paired it with "Labels of Love" and "Sheet Music." Hope the outcome inspires you with your Christmas cards. :-)

I also made some 3x3 cards with it to add to Christmas gifts.

Coffee = Happiness!

Coffee......manna from heaven! :-)

With my love for coffee, you know I had to have this stamp set! 

Strong espresso is my drink of choice, and Starbucks meets that bill for me, so this card was done in the colors associated with them. You, of course, can use any color combos you'd like and it would work out great! I'd love to see what you come up with!  

I used "Coffee Cafe" stamp set and "Merry Cafe" stamp set.

The little coffee cups and coffee pot were cut from the "Coffee Break" DSP.

Use your crimper to create the texture shown at bottom of the card.

One Little Piggy!

Adorable, adorable stamp set!! Had to have! :-)

I've met a few people that have little pink pigs as pets, and after seeing those little things in person, you kind of get it. lol They truly are SO cute! I'll stick with my cuddly, sweet, soft furred dogs though and just enjoy the cute piggies in my stamp set. :-)

Keep your little pigs a nice clean pink, make 'em dirty & muddy or make them purple or blue! 

It's all in the power of your creation! :-)

I stamped mine on Blushing Bride card stock, and with my Aqua Painters threw on a bit more pink for shadowing and then used Soft Suede to add a bit of dirt from her mud bath before she decided to take a nice stroll through the flowers. :-)

Mermaids!

My 14 years old daughter LOVES mermaids!
Now, don't get me wrong, she also loves make-up, fashion, high heels, talking back and of course....boys! :-) Yes, my teen girls are also trying to grow up too fast, so you are not alone.....we Mom's and Dad's are all turning gray together! :-) So, when I saw the new "Magical Mermaid' stamp set, I knew I had to have it and figure out a cute design for her.....anything to hold onto the small things that peek out and show us they are still little girls at heart.

Hope you enjoy the design as much as she does!
Have fun with all sorts of color....and of course don't forget the glittering diamonds to make your mermaid shimmer!

50 Amazing Years!

My parents celebrated their 50th Anniversary this month!

Their love, patience and dedication to each other is an inspiration to all their children and grandchildren!

I'm so very proud of who they are and grateful for the love and dedication they hold for their family!

Thanks Dad and Mom for being the pillar of our family and the greatest example of true love we've ever seen! Love you both dearly!!

This is the card I made for their Anniversary....I know 50 is usually done with gold, but if you can believe this, I had no gold in my stock! lol. So, I went with silver instead. Using several die cuts and a bit of bling and ribbon, I think I managed the simple, elegant look I was hoping for. 

Hope it inspires you to get out your Big Shot and get rolling! :-)

Zestful Life!

Living life with zest! 

What a concept these days with life being so rushed....so filled with responsibilities, work, children and much of the time just plain overwhelming. What do you do to be able to live your life with zest?!

This really makes you think, right?

I certainly don't know the answer to this, but I do believe when we find our passion and can work within it.....and then find balance in all our responsibilities (sometimes learning to say no), and looking for the positive in all the situations we face....we might just find ourselves living with zest! :-)

Now, if I can just find a way to do all the above all at one time and all in the same day! :-)

Cute set with some cute (and deeper than you realize) sayings! "Lemon Zest" made it to my 'must buy' list from the new catalog. I went to the lime side on this card, utilizing one of my favorite new in-colors called Lemon Lime Twist. I'm a sucker for just about any shade of green, as it's my favorite color, so I hope you find inspiration here to develop your card using any number of colors! :-)

If you hate to hand cut....there is a punch set that goes along with this set so you can punch the fruit and leaves out! :-)
