Time......where does it go?
They say it waits for no one......I certainly understand that now as I watch my daughter walk into the world of adulthood. That strange age where they want their complete autonomy, have no rules, do as they see fit, but still rely on Dad and Mom financially to house, feed and be there for them when they need us. :-) It's an age I remember well. lol.
EIGHTEEN
I'm blessed to have a strong willed child.....she's strong in the face of adversity and she knows her own mind. She's beautiful, strong, feisty and won't be pushed around. She's also caring and quick witted and makes me laugh. She's a good and loyal friend. She's a hard worker (when she puts her mind to it). Although she's made me crazy over some of her years and I've worried about her choices, I know she's going to be ok. She's going to find the right path for her. She's going to learn from others mistakes and forge her own way.
She's growing up, she's maturing and she's legally now an adult.
She's also made the choice to serve in the US Coast Guard.
Proud of her self realization that she's not ready to continue with full time schooling yet and wanting to instead use her talents in the Coast Guard to serve her fellow man and country.
She'll be an asset to their team, and I couldn't be more proud of her.

Lots of changes ahead.......lots of prayers going before her........
Time....it waits for no Mom or Dad. Sigh.
